Performs up to 4 consecutive shots with a bow.
Charged Attack
Perform a more precise Aimed Shot with increased DMG.
While aiming, flowing water will accumulate on the arrowhead. A fully charged torrential arrow will deal Hydro DMG.
Breakthrough
Yelan will enter a "Breakthrough" state after spending 5s out of combat, which will cause her next Charged Aimed Shot to have 80% decreased charge time, and once charged, she can fire a "Breakthrough Barb" that will deal AoE Hydro DMG based on Yelan's Max HP.
Plunging Attack
Fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Fires off a Lifeline that allows her to move rapidly, entangling and marking opponents along its path.
When this rapid movement ends, the Lifeline will explode, dealing Hydro DMG to the marked opponents based on Yelan's Max HP.
Tap
Moves a certain distance forward swiftly.
Hold
Engages in continuous, swift movement, during which Yelan's resistance to interruption is increased.
During this time, Yelan can control this rapid movement and end it by using this Skill again.
Additionally, each opponent marked by the Lifeline when it explodes grants Yelan a 34% chance to reset her Breakthrough state.

Deals AoE Hydro DMG and creates an "Exquisite Throw," which aids her in battle.
Exquisite Throw
Follows the character around and will initiate a coordinated attack under the following circumstances, dealing Hydro DMG based on Yelan's Max HP:
- Can occur once every second when your active character uses a Normal Attack.
- Will occur each time Yelan's Lifeline explodes and hits opponents.
Passives

When the party has 1/2/3/4 Elemental Types, Yelan's Max HP is increased by 6%/12%/18%/30%.

So long as an Exquisite Throw is in play, your own active character deals 1% more DMG. This increases by a further 3.5% DMG every second. The maximum increase to DMG dealt is 50%.
The pre-existing effect will be dispelled if Depth-Clarion Dice is recast during its duration.
Constellations

Lingering Lifeline gains 1 additional charge.

When Exquisite Throw conducts a coordinated attack, it will fire an additional water arrow that will deal 14% of Yelan's Max HP as Hydro DMG.
This effect can trigger once every 1.8s.

After using Depth-Clarion Dice, Yelan will enter the Mastermind state.
In this state, all of Yelan's Normal Attacks will be special Breakthrough Barbs. These Breakthrough Barbs will have similar abilities to normal ones and the DMG dealt will be considered Charged Attack DMG, dealing 156% of a normal Breakthrough Barb's DMG.
The Mastermind state lasts 20s and will be cleared after Yelan fires 5 arrows.

Builds
Hydro DPS Build
Yelan is a strong Hydro Off-field applier, much like Xingqiu. Her damage scales entirely off HP so any ATK source is useless on her; thanks to this she isn't reliant on Bennett or other ATK buffs and can work in plenty of teams.
Burst > Skill
Yelan's burst is her main source of damage, however her skill is important as well, so do not neglect that. Her normal attack isn't worth levelling up as it is time consuming and can't fit in most rotations.
Main stats: HP/Hydro/Crit
Aqua Simulacra: ER/Hydro/HP
Substats: ER/Crit/HP/EM
Yelan needs a considerable amount of Energy Recharge to work properly, around 180-200% average. This value can be lowered if Yelan is played with another Hydro character or with Raiden Shogun. Using a ER% weapon is more recommended, however in Aqua Simulacra's case it's better to sacrifice the Crit circlet to an HP one to have some extra ER% on the sands.
As said previously, any ATK is useless on Yelan. EM, however, increases her vaporize damage, which is not bad at all.

Yelan's signature weapon, made and designed for her.
This weapon isn't the best for Yelan's personal damage, but it provides great buffs to the team and some ER% to her, which is well accepted. It is especially recommended in Vaporize teams.
Increases Elemental Mastery by 60~120. When the Elemental Skills or Elemental Bursts of the character wielding this weapon hit opponents, that character gains a Sigil of Remembrance. This effect can be triggered once every 0.2s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 4 Sigils of Remembrance, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain the "Millennial Movement: Farewell Song" effect for 12s. "Millennial Movement: Farewell Song" increases Elemental Mastery by 100~200 and increases ATK by 20~40%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Remembrance for 20s.
Of the many effects of the "Millennial Movement," buffs of the same type will not stack.Yelan's best 4 star and free to play friendly weapon is Favonius Warbow. It lowers her ER% requirement to about 150% and it also provides team supportivity. High refinements and at least 60% Crit Rate on Yelan is recommended.
These weapons provide a considerable amount of ER% on Yelan and are viable on her.
This weapon becomes valuable in vaporize teams, noticeably increasing Yelan's personal damage.
Even though the high base ATK is useless on Yelan, this weapon is a great Crit stat stick.
The ATK give by this weapon is useless but its passive is really good, especially at high refinements.
As ATK is completely useless on Yelan, these 3 star options become viable and actually good on her. Whether to use one or another depends on your current Crit Ratio and HP value.

Yelan's best set for off-field damage is Emblem of Severed Fate without doubts, as her ER% requirements are pretty high.
These set combinations are weaker in terms of damage but are much easier to farm. They also contribute to Yelan's skill damage more, which is not negligible.
