Pros & Cons

  • Universal Elemental Mastery support with access to 4PC Viridescent Venerer's shred
  • Good Crowd Control
  • Relatively cheap to build
    • Only needs C1 to perform well
    • Low investment, high impact
    • Artifact substats aren't important
  • Great driver for Taser Comps
  • Great Anemo Battery (if C1)
  • F2P Weapons availability
  • Long cooldowns without C1 or Sacrificial Fragments
  • Her value is gated by player's skill expression
    • Utilizing her crowd-control, TTDS management, VV management can be too complicated for some players.
    • Additonally Sucrose's damage is gated by investment, scaling entirely with EM and level rather than traditional means
  • You need to wait for her E/Q to trigger Swirl before swapping in order for 4PC to trigger
  • EM buff is wasted on mono-element and Freeze teams
  • Needs to be leveled up to stagger high-level enemies and maximise Swirl damage

Builds

Elemental Mastery Support Build

Sucrose is a great support for Elemental DMG teams, and even more impactful in a team that relies on Melt/Vaporize. Sucrose's A4 passive talent buffs your team's EM by 20% of her EM whenever she triggers Swirl. Stacking as much EM as possible maximizes this EM buff as well as the damage from the Swirl itself. Since she has access to 4PC VV, her EM buff can massively increase your team's Melt/Vaporize damage.

Talent Priority

Burst > Skill
Leveling up her talents aren't important since her damage output relative to the team's damage output is negligible. Prioritize leveling up her weapons and artifacts.

Stat Priority

Main stats: ER or EM/EM/EM
Substats: ER = EM
Swirl reactions cannot crit so the only important stats are ER for burst uptime and EM for swirl damage. In teams that do not benefit from EM, completing the 4PC set is more important than getting the correct stats.

Weapon Weapons
Best Weapons

Best EM weapon on Sucrose since it gives her a larger EM buff while the cooldown reset improves her battery capabilities.

Sacrificial Fragments
Elemental Mastery
Star Star Star Star
Composed
After dealing damage to an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40~80% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30~16s.

Other valuable EM weapons with useful passives, both weapon banner limited.

A Thousand Floating Dreams
Elemental Mastery
Star Star Star Star Star
A Thousand Nights' Dawnsong
Party members other than the equipping character will provide the equipping character with buffs based on whether their Elemental Type is the same as the latter or not. If their Elemental Types are the same, increase Elemental Mastery by 32~64. If not, increase the equipping character's DMG Bonus from their Elemental Type by 10~26%. Each of the aforementioned effects can have up to 3 stacks. Additionally, all nearby party members other than the equipping character will have their Elemental Mastery increased by 40~48. Multiple such effects from multiple such weapons can stack.
Wandering Evenstar
Elemental Mastery
Star Star Star Star
Wildling Nightstar
The following effect will trigger every 10s: The equipping character will gain 24~48% of their Elemental Mastery as bonus ATK for 12s, with nearby party members gaining 30% of this buff for the same duration. Multiple instances of this weapon can allow this buff to stack. This effect will still trigger even if the character is not on the field.

TTDS does not provide anything to Sucrose, but it is an extremely valuable support weapon since she can provide a massive ATK buff to a party member. This should be taken if no one else in the team can use TTDS.

Heritage
When switching characters, the new character taking the field has their ATK increased by 24~48% for 10s. This effect can only occur once every 20s.

EM Weapons

Magic Guide is the best F2P EM weapon on Sucrose since it provides more EM than the Mappa Mare while also being cheaper to level up.

Magic Guide
Elemental Mastery
Star Star Star
Bane of Storm and Tide
Increases DMG against opponents affected by Hydro or Electro by 12~24%.

Crafting this weapon just for Sucrose is not recommended. Only use this if you accidentally scrapped all your Magic Guides.

Mappa Mare
Elemental Mastery
Star Star Star Star
Infusion Scroll
Triggering an Elemental reaction grants a 8~16% Elemental DMG Bonus for 10s. Max 2 stacks.
Support

Hakushin Ring is a very niche weapon since it turns Sucrose into the carry and requires multiple off-field DPS characters. This weapon becomes extremely powerful in an Electro-Charged team where Sucrose can constantly trigger the passive with her normal attacks. She can provide Elemental DMG buffs to her team while maintaining a decent burst uptime.

Hakushin Ring
Energy Recharge
Star Star Star Star
Sakura Saiguu
After the character equipped with this weapon triggers an Electro elemental reaction, nearby party members of an Elemental Type involved in the elemental reaction receive a 10~20% Elemental DMG Bonus for their element, lasting 6s. Elemental Bonuses gained in this way cannot be stacked.

Favonius Codex is also a niche weapon due to its battery-oriented stats. This is only worth using in teams that do not benefit from EM. Neglecting EM allows Sucrose to stack ER and Crit, which should improve burst uptime and performance as a battery.

Favonius Codex
Energy Recharge
Star Star Star Star
Windfall
CRIT hits have a 60~100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12~6s.
Artifact Artifacts
Best Set

Sucrose has access to Swirl, allowing her to massively increase your team's damage by shredding enemies' elemental resistance.

2 Anemo DMG Bonus +15%.
4 Increases Swirl DMG by 60%. Decreases opponent's Elemental RES to the element infused in the Swirl by 40% for 10s.

Budget Sets

These sets still help Sucrose's EM but are not recommended since 4PC VV has a stronger impact and 4★ artifacts have weaker scaling. Only usable early-game since 4PC VV massively outperforms these sets.

2 Increases Elemental Mastery by 80.
4 Upon triggering an Elemental Reaction, increases all party members' Elemental Mastery by 120 for 8s.
