Skills
Normal Attack
Shoots gems that deal Geo DMG.
Upon hit, this grants Ningguang 1 Star Jade.
Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of stamina to fire off a giant gem that deals Geo DMG.
If Ningguang has any Star Jades, unleashing a Charged Attack will cause the Star Jades to be fired at the enemy as well, dealing additional DMG.
Plunging Attack
Gathering the might of Geo, Ningguang plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in her path. Deals AoE Geo DMG upon impact with the ground.
Ningguang creates a Jade Screen out of gold, obsidian and her great opulence, dealing AoE Geo DMG.
Jade Screen
- Blocks opponents' projectiles.
- Endurance scales based on Ningguang's Max HP.
Jade Screen is considered a Geo Construct and can be used to block certain attacks, but cannot be climbed. Only one Jade Screen may exist at any one time.
Gathering a great number of gems, Ningguang scatters them all at once, sending homing projectiles at her opponents that deal massive Geo DMG.
If Starshatter is cast when a Jade Screen is nearby, the Jade Screen will fire additional gem projectiles at the same time.
Passives
Displays the location of nearby ore veins used in forging on the mini-map.
When Ningguang is in possession of Star Jades, her Charged Attack does not consume Stamina.
A character that passes through the Jade Screen will gain a 12% Geo DMG Bonus for 10s.
Constellations

When Jade Screen is shattered, its CD will reset.
Can occur once every 6s.

Builds
Geo DPS Build
Ningguang Normal Attack talent has a special Star Jades mechanic that allows her to preserve stamina while firing additional projectiles to deal more damage. Her Star Jades help in the balancing act of spacing and damage that usually hinders Catalyst users from being DPS units. This allows Ningguang to increase her field time and create viability as an On-field DPS unit.
Normal Attack > Burst > Skill
Spending more field time with Ningguang means a bigger part of her damage share will come from her combos but don't neglect the power of her Burst either.
Main stats: ATK/Geo/Crit
Substats: Crit/ATK/ER
Ningguang's low burst cost means you won't need ER sands and its really better to get ER through substats.
WeaponsThese weapons provide a ton of offensive stats for Ningguang's overall damage. A shield is required if Memory of Dust is chosen.
EM passive is undesirable, limiting The Widsith's value
Recitative: ATK is increased by 60~120%. Aria: Increases all Elemental DMG by 48~96%.
Interlude: Elemental Mastery is increased by 240~480.A great F2P option but event-exclusive.
ArtifactsArchaic Petra and Noblesse are great at boosting her normal attacks and burst damage at the same time. 2PC 18% ATK sets can also be used as budget options as Archaic Petra is not resin efficient.
Great set for maximizing Ningguang's normal attacks but this requires a shield support to keep the passive active.
Provides more damage than 4PC Retracing, but it can make Ningguang's burst impossible to cast if she does not have enough ER.
Burst Support Build
Leverages Ningguang's Catalyst weapon selection to provide more utility to the party. While her damage is much lower, playing her as a support does create flexibility in her party compositions.
Burst > Skill
You can invest into your Skill if Ningguang is C2, but it should never take priority over your Burst.

Substats: Crit/ATK/ER
ER sands are only an option if you can't consistently use Ningguang's Burst and don't value her damage, but with her low Energy cost you should be able to get enough energy for her.

Energy regeneration is good utility for supports, but the ER substat is partially wasted on Ningguang.
Niche healing option.
ArtifactsNoblesse Oblige fits best as you can afford to farm it by recycling bad artifacts. That and the overall demand for Noblesse pieces means that you'll likely run into decent Noblesse pieces for Ningguang.
This set lacks support capabilities but boosts Ningguang's damage.
The main problem with Archaic Petra is that it's "niche". It's hard to recommend farming this set exclusively as your resin may be better spent elsewhere. That being said, if you don't exactly value the stats the artifacts can bring you and care only for the 4pc effect, it is a viable option.
