Best Build for Aloy in Genshin Impact

Pros & Cons
- Excellent Cryo Battery
- Powerful Burst Scaling
- Powerful self buff, minor team buff
- Underwhelming in most team comps
- Damage output is limited to her burst
- Ineffective main DPS due to slow, clunky, and inconsistent stacks/infusion
- No (currently) available constellations
Skills

Normal Attack
Perform up to 4 consecutive shots with a bow.
Charged Attack
Perform a more precise Aimed Shot with increased DMG.
While aiming, biting frost will accumulate on the arrowhead. A fully charged frost arrow will deal Cryo DMG.
Plunging Attack
Fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Aloy throws a Freeze Bomb in the targeted direction that explodes on impact, dealing Cryo DMG. After it explodes, the Freeze Bomb will split up into many Chillwater Bomblets that explode on contact with opponents or after a short delay, dealing Cryo DMG.
When a Freeze Bomb or Chillwater Bomblet hits an opponent, the opponent's ATK is decreased and Aloy receives 1 Coil stack.
Aloy can gain up to 1 Coil stack every 0.1s.
Coil
- Each stack increases Aloy's Normal Attack DMG.
- When Aloy has 4 Coil stacks, all stacks of Coil are cleared. She then enters the Rushing Ice state, which further increases the DMG dealt by her Normal Attacks and converts her Normal Attack DMG to Cryo DMG.
While in the Rushing Ice state, Aloy cannot obtain new Coil stacks.
Coil effects will be cleared 30s after Aloy leaves the field.

Aloy throws a Power Cell filled with Cryo in the targeted direction, then detonates it with an arrow, dealing AoE Cryo DMG.
Passives

When Aloy is in the party, animals who produce Fowl, Raw Meat, or Chilled Meat will not be startled when party members approach them.

When Aloy receives the Coil effect from Frozen Wilds, her ATK is increased by 16%, while nearby party members' ATK is increased by 8%. This effect lasts 10s.

When Aloy is in the Rushing Ice state conferred by Frozen Wilds, her Cryo DMG Bonus increases by 3.5% every 1s. A maximum Cryo DMG Bonus increase of 35% can be gained in this way.

Builds
Nuke Build
Aloy theoretically has excellent potential as a Freeze DPS, but her Cryo infusion is very clunky and hard to consistently activate. She is much better off built as a battery or as a nuke.
Burst > Skill
Most of Aloy's damage will come from her Burst due to its high scaling and reverse melt potential. Her skill isn't as much of a priority but can provide some extra damage if Aloy is used as a battery.
Main stats: ATK or EM/Cryo DMG/Crit
Substats: Crit/ATK/EM/ER
EM is only needed if she can trigger reverse melt with her burst. Crit Rate can be prioritized when running Favonius Warbow, improving particle generation consistency at the cost of nuke damage.

These 5★ bows have the highest base ATK stats, making ATK% stats more useful. Crit on the 2nd stat also gives you some breathing room when farming for Crit artifacts.
Even though these weapons are 4★ bows, their passives are great for increasing Aloy's burst DMG especially at higher refinements.
These bows work well when using Aloy as a battery. ER stat doesn't buff her burst directly and becomes redundant due to her low burst cost, but 4PC Emblem can still benefit from it.

Only take this set if Aloy is on a Freeze team. Provides a lot of Crit Rate so Aloy can focus on stacking Crit DMG for her nuke.
Even with zero additional ER stats, this set is only marginally weaker than a 2PC Blizzard/Noblesse set. This set will provide the most damage for a reverse melt nuke assuming she is running an ER bow with a few ER substats. Overstacking ER can maximize the 4PC effect but can make her miss out on ATK stats.
These 2PC set combinations are weaker in terms of damage but are much easier to farm. Only take Wanderer's Troupe if Aloy can trigger reverse melt.
Aloy can maintain 100% uptime on the 4PC Noblesse buff due to her low cooldown and burst cost, but this set can end up redundant since her usual team comps might already have 4PC Noblesse users, like Mona/Freeze or Bennett/Reverse Melt.
